Terminal units

Welcome to our section on terminal units

Terminal units

Terminal units are points in the system suitable for connection between the medical gas distribution system and the receiving system (flowmeter, vacuum regulator, anesthesia machine, or other general receiving device). All manufactured terminal units are equipped with double check valves, one present on the socket and one present on the base block, stainless steel plugs and plug. DZ MEDICALE is able to offer a wide range of terminal units capable of meeting the widest range of both Italian and European Regulatory requirements. All are made with the use of metal materials without the use of plastics, a fact that ensures their great durability and reliability. Made entirely of brass to ensure continuity of operation even after thousands of plugging operations by health care personnel, while providing aesthetic appeal through the use of multiple anodized aluminum parts. In both built-in and outdoor versions, the containment boxes are supplied with the base pre-assembled at the factory and equipped with a cover panel in order to protect the box itself during masonry operations. In addition, to make up for any design shortcomings, if single terminal units need to serve two beds, fabricated splitters offer a viable temporary alternative in either direct-attach or bar-attach configuration.

TERMINAL UNITSAFNOR APPROVED

The Afnor socket is a low-pressure device with backstop that enables the supply of power to a device or measuring instrument by insertion at a quick-connect coupling. Materials used: chrome-plated CW614N brass for the body and other parts, plastic material for the outer ring nut, C98 steel for springs, food-grade NBR or VITON rubber for gaskets, polycarbonate for labels, stainless steel for the panel.

TERMINAL UNITSNIST APPROVED

NIST terminal units are those points, fixed or flying, of a medical gas distribution system on which the user makes frequent connections and detachments to draw the various gases intended to supply anesthesia, ventilation, and general medical use equipment. Because incorrect connection can endanger the patient’s life, it is important that terminal units and their components are installed securely. Materials used: chrome-plated CW614N brass for the body and other parts, C98 steel for springs, food-grade NBR or VITON rubber for gaskets, polycarbonate for labels, and copper for the outlet tube.

TERMINAL UNITSTO UNI STANDARD

UNI terminal units are those points, fixed or flying, of a medical gas distribution system on which the user makes frequent connections and detachments to draw the various gases intended to supply anesthesia, ventilation, and general medical use equipment. Since incorrect connection can endanger the patient’s life, it is important that terminal units and their components are installed securely Materials used: chrome-plated brass CW614N for the body and other high-strength parts, for the outer ferrule, INOX steel for the pins, C98 steel for the springs, food-grade NBR or VITON rubber for the gaskets, polycarbonate for the labels, and copper for the output tube.

TERMINAL UNITSDIN STANDARD

DIN terminal units are those points, fixed or flying, of a medical gas distribution system on which the user makes frequent connections and detachments to draw the various gases intended to supply anesthesia equipment, ventilation equipment, and medical use in general. Because incorrect connection can endanger the patient’s life, it is important that terminal units and their components are installed securely. Materials used: chrome-plated CW614N brass for the body and other parts, chrome-plated aluminum for the outer ferrule, stainless steel for the pins, C98 steel for the springs, and NBR or food-grade VITON rubber for the seals. All DIN terminal units possess on the base a dispensing block system with manual activation.

TERMINAL UNITSBS STANDARD

Standard BS terminal units are those points, fixed or flying, of a medical gas distribution system on which the user makes frequent connections and detachments to draw the various gases intended to supply anesthesia, ventilation, and general medical use equipment.

EVACUATION TERMINAL UNITS

Anaesthetic Gases passive and active type (Venturi)

The terminal unit for anesthetic gas evacuation is essentially the connection point between the receiving system to which the operator makes connections and disconnections and the exhaust system. The terminal unit socket includes a retaining system that opens the gas passage when the plug is connected and closes automatically when the plug is disconnected. The base block is designed and constructed for permanent connection to the exhaust system. Materials used: chrome-plated CW614N brass for the body and other details. Chrome-plated aluminum for the outer ferrule. Stainless steel for pins, C98 steel for springs. NBR rubber for gaskets Polycarbonate for labels and copper for tube outlet. All materials used are compatible with medical gases and anesthetic vapors in the specified temperature range.
