Le 23 mars 2021, à 15h12, un incendie s’est déclaré au deuxième niveau de l’ATC lorsque le personnel infirmier a remarqué une flamme dans l’un des panneaux de la tête de lit et, en quelques minutes, toute la zone était remplie de fumée. Un code rouge a été immédiatement déclenché et les pompiers ont été contactés sur les lignes prévues à cet effet. Au moment de l’incident, 68 patients en état critique ou malades se trouvaient dans la zone concernée et, avec l’aide du personnel infirmier et de sécurité, tous les patients ont été immédiatement évacués vers les zones sûres/de collecte. Le personnel de sécurité incendie a éteint le feu. L’alimentation en gaz médical et l’alimentation électrique de la zone ont été coupées par mesure de sécurité.
Après une inspection et une maintenance approfondies, et après avoir obtenu l’autorisation des services électrique, biomédical et du collecteur de l’institut, tous les services ont été rétablis. Aucune victime n’a été signalée. Aucune perte matérielle majeure n’a été signalée.
